GAME CONTROLS

A typical game screen.
The screen in Tómate un descanso can
be divided in three areas: the game area, the icon bar, and
the sentence bar, each one of them tell different things about
the game. The game area shows what Al can see in his surroundings.
The icon bar allows Al to interact with the different eleents
of his environment through the four basic actions. The sentence
bar tells you what Al would do if you click in some part of
the game area.

The icon bar.
Each icon represents a different kind of action. These actions
are 'WALK', 'LOOK', 'USE' or 'PICK UP', and 'TALK', respectively.
In order to do some action, you have to clic an icon, and
then click anywhere you can complete a sentence in the sentencer
bar.

The sentence bar.
The last icon opens Al's inventory, where you can see what
Al has in his pockets. Al can realize different actions over
his stuff with the same icons in the icon bar. The only exception
is the 'USE' icon: you use this icon to combine the object
with any part of the screen or another object.

The inventory bar.
The green arrows allow Al to see the rest
of his inventory when it grows too big (Al can see only four
items at once). To close the inventory bar, raise the mouse
cursor above the bar.
OPTIONS MENU
By pressing F5 you deploy the game's options
menu. Nowa description of each element of the menu follows:

The options menu.
- ?: Offers on-line help.
- Restore game: Allows to restore some
savegame. This way you can resume the game where you left
it.
- Save game: Allows to save the game in
some point.
- Restart game: If something goes wrong
you can always go back to the beginning.
- Credits: Shows all the people who were
developing the game..
- Back to the game: Closes the options
menu and continues the game.
- Exit: Closes the game and goes back to
the operative system.
- Text speed: Controls the speed which
the characters' speech are displayed in the game..
- Master volume: Controls the volume of
the game.
- Game speed: Sets the Al walking speed..
