Wilfribotvargas is a Twitter account that tweets lines from Wilfrido Vargas’ songs each number of hours. This project was born as a homage to the Dominican singer and his trove of songs. His popularity meant that the account could potentially attract a fair number of retweets to lines of his songs. Taken out of context, they could be converted to memes and contribute to the Twitter environment.
It was also a good opportunity to try out Cheap Bots Done Quick!, v buckenham’s website that integrates Tracery with Twitter accounts. This website allows to sign up through a Twitter account, and then put in a Tracery grammar. This grammar is then run and the result is tweeted to the signed-up Twitter account. It also allows to make procedural images, but I have yet to explore this possibility with a different bot.
